Winter Term
Lecture: Optimization of complex structures
Lecturer: Dr. Ing. Robert Dienemann
Contents:
With optimization procedures and the appropriate formalizing of the development process the product features can be improved considerably. Additionally to the field "Structural Optimization" in this lecture the theory and practical application for complex developments are tought.
The course is organized as follows:
1. Theory of selected optimization algorithms
2. Choice of the suitable optimization method
3. Multidisciplinal approach in the optimization
4. Merging/ Interleaving optimization loops
A big value is laid on the independent realization of optimization processes. Each student works on his or her own optimization project. This project should build on previous or parallel lectures of the student.
